Working well after changing launching habits
I installed these on a 1994 Ranger Trail trailer. Installation was easy enough on a weekday at a local boat ramp. I bought 100 S.S. screws from a fastener supplier online and used most of them. The install went well. The very first launch and load caused some scrubbing on the front of the bunks even though they were wet and barely out of the water. Scrubbing while launching was minimized by making sure the boat was floating upon launch. However, on loading, even with trailer bunks completely submerged, the nose of the my 374V still scrub a little at the nose each time I load. I have now launched and loaded 30 to 50 times and they are performing well. There is wear showing on the front of the bunks, but only time will tell if that will become a problem. Overall, after learning to let the boat float off the trailer and completely submerging the bunks for loading, the Gatorbaks are working well.

concerned about the wrinkles where they were folded over in the box
I feel the Gatorbak is a quality product my only complaint is there is huge wrinkles where they were folded in the box Ilayed them out flat for 4 days and still no better I even put a thicker piece of wood under them at the wrinkle , it helped but didn't take it all out,I hope this don't leave puckers on the sides when there installed.

Great bunk coversâŚkind on boat
These bunk covers are awesome. Very pliable and easy to install. I put them on while my family waited at the dock. Took me about ten minutes. These things are worth the money. The carpet kept making my Blazer 24 hang up on the trailer. After installing the Gatorbaks, the boat is easier to load and unload. I highly recommend this product if you need something that makes loading and unloading easy and you want your boat to be protected from the bunks gouging your gelcoat.

cheap insurance for my investment
I recently purchased a set of gatorbaks for my new z521c Ranger, prompt shipping and well packaged, I removed the original bunk system and after removing the existing carpet after the boat has been sitting for 2 months the wood is still moist. The gatorbaks fit like a glove and the installation was a breeze. I no longer have to worry about hull blisters, and the product is quality made, you can actually see light from my one end to the other with the boat at rest on the bunks. Glad gatorbaks give me a choice to avoid costly repairs. The set cost 10% of what a hull repair would cost me, the way I see it is cheap insurance for a costly investment.

No More Carpet
I replaced the carpet on my 8 year old Basta lift. The carpet was filled with sand and silt. The 2X6 Gatorbak fit perfect and went on easy. Very pleased with this product. I wish I would have switched to Gatorbak sooner.

Great Product
Replaced my old carpeted bunks with Gatorbak product in 2x6 and 2x4 sizes. Installation was easy, fit to new lumber was perfect, and lengths were very generous with about 4-6" more to enable full coverage over end caps and trim to size length. Seems like an excellent material that won't scratch your hull and allows water to flow out of channels or evaporate, preventing gel coat blisters. Fortunately my 1984 Whaler Montauk hull is in great shape and I don't have to worry about this classic boat getting blisters anymore with Gatorbak. Well worth the investment!
